You may remember our Photo Thursday from a few weeks back, featuring a poster for our tree planting day on the Amazon Creek. This is a shot from that day!
Stacks of empty pots lined the creek and tallied our long hours of digging and planting in the steep banks of this waterway. We partnered with the Eugene Park Stewards and Eugene Parks & Open Spaces to help enhance this neighborhood creek’s ability to sustain native plants and wildlife.
Amazon Creek is literally our backyard, so it was a unique opportunity for us to give back close to home. Over 50 oak, alder, ash, and hawthorn trees were planted that day. We look forward to watching them grow and will surely enjoy their shade.
